Uninstalling Windows® XP In Acer® Veriton
Acer Veriton is the series of PCs rolled out by Acer® for the business consumers. These computers come along with Windows® XP Professional and Windows Vista® Business as the operating system. However, this system allows you to replace Windows® XP with some other operating system.

Uninstall from Windows® screen
To uninstall Windows® XP from your Acer® Veriton® PCs start your computer and enter into the safe mode (keep hitting F8 key when you switch on your computer to enter safe mode). Log on to Windows® with your administrative login details. Click on Start, Control Panel, Add and Remove Programs. Select Uninstall Windows® XP on this screen by double clicking on it. Click on Change/Remove and the system will display a message asking for your confirmation, click Yes. The removal process will start and after it is finished it will ask you to restart your system.
Uninstall from command prompt
To uninstall Windows® XP from command prompt turn on your system and enter safe mode. On the command prompt type “cd/” and then press Enter key. Again type “osuninst.exe” on the command prompt and press Enter. Follow the on-screen instructions to finish the un-installation of Windows® XP.
When you are uninstalling Windows® XP from your Acer® Veriton® remember these steps are applicable only when you have upgraded the operating system from Windows® 98/ Windows® 98 SE/ Windows® Me. If the upgrade is from Windows® XP Home Edition/ Windows® 2000/ Windows® NT 4.0 then please do not follow these steps. If you do not get the option for Uninstall Windows® XP in the first step then you will have to reinstall Windows® 98/ Windows® Me manually in your system. Always backup your data before uninstalling operating system. Make sure there is enough disk space in your Acer® Veriton® before you start removing Windows® XP from it.
