Restoring Windows® 7 in Acer® TravelMate
Acer TravelMate is a series of laptops powered with Intel Core Duo processor. It has added features for performing graphics processing functionality. By default, it is available with Microsoft Windows XP Operating system. System restore process is like the 'Undo' command. Windows 7 Operating system is the latest version of the Microsoft. If you want to restore the Windows 7 Operating system you could use the built-in 'System Restore' option from 'System Tools', which is listed when you select the 'Accessories' menu. The 'System Restore' process of Windows 7 is merging with Windows backup utility. You could easily restore your system to any previous state with the help of this option.

Before you start the Restore process, you need to take proper backup. Entire hard drive back up is the best method. There is a chance of data loss. So you should take necessary precaution to avoid data loss. Save data to a DVD or CD and store it in a secure place.
Check for the power connection
Power failure would result in interruption during the Restore process. Therefore, you must check the power circuit connection. Improper connection would result in power failure at the middle of the restoring process of Windows 7 Operating system. By keeping the laptop battery with full charge, you could avoid power failure to an extent.
Restore point is the previous state of your system by which you perform 'System restore'. For creating Restore point for the Windows 7 Operating system you need to open the 'Start' menu and select 'Accessories'. Now you could select 'System Tools' and select 'System Restore'. You would be provided with an option to create Restore point by selecting this option.
