Use of antivirus
It is extremely important to use an antivirus to detect and remove all viruses residing inside your system. You are required to remove all the unwanted files and malware from the system before creating the recovery disk as these malicious programs might interrupt the process and lead to incomplete recovery disk operation. Remember to use only an updated or the latest antivirus program to ensure clean removal of malwares.
CD or DVD burner software
Before creating recovery disk, make sure that you have installed the CD or DVD burner software in your system. To create recovery disk, you are required to insert a blank CD or DVD to copy all the system and personal files of your Acer TravelMate system. In order to make it work, you must install the DVD burner software in the system which will help to create the recovery disk easily.
By creating the recovery disk, you are able to backup only the system files and personal documents of your Acer TravelMate system. The driver files, which are required for the proper working of the hardware devices connected to the system, are not copied. Therefore, you must take a backup of driver files before creating the recovery disk.
