As promised earlier this year in the Consumer Electronics Show in Las Vegas, the renowned hardware maker, Acer, is all set to bring out its AcerCloud service this April. This personal cloud solution by Acer will initially be limited to North America and Mainland China only; however, in other countries the service will be available in the last quarter of 2012.
The free AcerCloud service will enable the users to connect digital content on various Acer devices, including laptops, Android-based smartphones, and other PCs. It will let the users to upload videos, images, music files, and documents to Acer’s free cloud service, and browse them online from any PC, tablet, or mobile phone having Android or Windows operating system. This includes devices from third-party vendors as well.
An impressive aspect about this online storage service is that the users can safely store and transfer digital data even when your PC is in sleep (hibernation/standby) mode using Acer Always Connect Technology. Acer will incorporate the AcerCloud without additional cost on 30 to 40 percent upcoming devices.
