Acer unveiled the world’s lightest and thinnest Ultrabook at CES (Consumer Electronics Show) in Las Vegas.
Aspire S5 is an ultra-slim laptop by Acer. It measures just 15mm and weighs around 1.35 kg. The best aspect is its 13.3-inch LCD screen. Acer Aspire S5 encompasses the one-of-its-kind Acer Green Instant On technology for instant resume and fast boot. In addition, its "Acer Always Connect" technology will help manage your multimedia files and data on any other device easily and quickly. Acer Always Connect will help you get all the latest updates on your Facebook, Microsoft Outlook, and Twitter accounts as soon as you resume.
"The Ultrabook is much more than just a product segment," said Jim Wong, president of Acer Inc. "It's a new trend that will become the mainstream for mobile PCs, and customers will see the unique features gradually extended across Acer's notebook family," he added.
What’s more, Acer Aspire S5 includes Intel Core processor, SSD storage, and Dolby Home Theater v4. If you do not like to compromise on the battery life then you need not worry — Acer Aspire S5 boasts of PowerSmart battery pack.
Unlike other Ultrabooks by Acer, Aspire S5 is the first model to boast of MagicFlip I/O port panel, providing room for extra ports. This feature significantly improves the fine and sleek look of Acer Aspire S5. "We are committed to evolving this technology," said Acer chief executive J.T. Wang. "By the second quarter of this year we will have four models of Ultrabook and more to come."
Can’t wait to own this slimmest Ultrabook? Then you may have to wait, as the shipping for Acer Aspire S5 will start in the second quarter of this year.
