Upgrading to Windows7
There are six different editions of Windows 7 available, users can choose from OEM, Home Basic, Home Premium, Professional, Enterprise and Ultimate. Users can upgrade to any of the editions. The famous ones are Home series and professional. In order to upgrade to Windows 7 the user can either opt for upgrade version or full version. The difference between the two is that in upgrade version you require a previous version of Windows XP or Windows Vista to be installed on your system but full version does not require previous versions of Windows to be installed in your system.
Steps to upgrade
To start the upgrade process, first turn on your Acer Extensa, insert installation CD/DVD. Click install on the installation page and get the latest updates from Microsoft website. On the website, read the license term and conditions and then click on accept button. Next choose the ‘Upgrade Windows’ option and click. Just follow the instruction, which will be displayed one after another and complete the installation process.
In order to save your valuable time and avoid problems, the user needs to make note of certain important things while upgrading to Windows 7. The user should have the product key, as they will be asked to enter it during the process. Also before upgrading the user should create backup of all important files and data.
