Role of system recovery
System recovery becomes essential when you start experiencing some computer related problem after downloading a program or adding a hardware component. With the system recovery feature, your computer goes back to the configuration that your computer was set with at a certain point of time. This means that the problematic program that you installed on your computer can be removed and your problem can be solved.
When system recovery is needed?
Using the feature of system recovery in Acer® Aspire® computers is needed when you notice that your computer’s performance has deteriorated after installing a particular software or hardware.
Most of the Acer® Aspire® computers have another hard disc partition that you can use to restore, even if you do not have a CD. Running the recovery process will restore your PC to the way it used to be when you first bought it. Anything that you added will be deleted and that is why, it is important to have a backup of your program and data files.
When you purchase an Acer® Aspire® computer, it will come with the hard disk recovery feature enabled. In order to enable it manually, you should press the ‘F2’ button at boot and check your computer’s BIOS. Here, enable the hard disk recovery feature under Advanced Tab. After doing this, reboot your system and press ‘Alt’ and ‘F10’ to start the process of system recovery. Press six zeros as a security step after which you will be asked to select your computer’s operating system.
One of the most important things you need to keep in mind is to take a backup of your data and burn the recovery DVD with the Acer’s in-built utility.
