Cleaning out your system
To backup your Acer Aspire® you need to be aware of the possible consequences of copying your data as it is. If your files have hidden viruses attached in them and you backed them up, a mirror image or copy of the virus would be included in your disk. If your data is full of erroneous files and non-relevant files, your disk space will be cluttered. The most essential task is to clean out your data and hard disk, defragment the hard drive and use an antimalware program to ensure that the data will be protected from such threats. Use a registry cleaner to ensure that the registry files are clean and without errors. From there, you can start with the backup of your Acer Aspire®.
Choosing what to backup
Go to ‘Start’, and then click on ‘Acer Empowering Technology’ in the programs tab. A pop up menu will appear and from there, select the ‘eRecovery Management’. You can opt to choose a fast backup copy or you can also opt for a full backup copy. The full backup includes the drivers of your system and all the essential data and settings you have for your Acer Aspire®.
Once you have selected the kind of backup you want to choose, you can go ahead now with the backup process. Click on ‘Backup’ and it will take about 2 hours for the process to be complete. After this, the backup will be ready to be transferred to an optical storage drive. Insert a writable disk and secure at least 2-3 and label them accordingly. Now you have a clean back up of your files and settings for your Acer Aspire®.
