Acer® Aspire Revo 1600
The Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 is referred as a media player and handles 1080P HD video with ease. It serves very well as a desktop replacement. It is very cheap. The Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 falls flat when it comes to 3D games. The Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 is expected to be used as a normal PC; it is designed in a similar way. The pricing of this notebook is slightly lower than the ordinary PC that can be used for household use. The size of the Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 is an advantage. It can be mounted anywhere with ease and comfort. Its a low-risk starter PC or light-duty e-mail/browsing station; consumes very low power.
The Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 is tiny. Its case is only about 7x7x1-1/4 inches and has an oval base. The Revo 1600 comes with a wired laser mouse, a small white keyboard with Chiclets sized keys, and an external power supply like a laptop. It does not have a monitor, but they come with both HDMI and a VGA port. Apart from this, there are six USB ports, four in the back, one on top, and one concealed under a white rubber cover on the top front corner of the computer. There is a front facing storage media port which can accept SD, Sony Memory Stick®, and XD media. It also has a 10/100/1GB Ethernet port, an eSATA expansion port, and headphone and microphone jacks. Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 has lot of ports on such a tiny computer. Internally, the Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 has an open SO-DIMM slot, and an open PCI-Express slot, so that you can expand the memory, or add a Wi-Fi card.

The Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 comes with lots of ports and layouts in its tiny body. On the front there is power button, recessed USB port, covered with a flap, card reader, headphone and microphone jacks, e-SATA port. And on the top there is an air vent and another USB port. On the back there are 4x USB ports, Ethernet, HDMI, VGA ports. Kensington lock and power plug. And on the bottom there is a screw to access the inside parts.
- THREE – Upgradable RAM
Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 has a 2.5” hard drive, RAM and a PCI-e slot which is occupied by the Wi-Fi card. The RAM is contained in two slots of up to 4GB. All these can be upgraded if you can unscrew the Aspire® Revo 1600.
- TWO – Graphics
Acer® Aspire Revo 1600 excels at playing any sort of 1080P HD video you want to play on it. It has been tested by the researchers and the end-users who found that it did not encounter any error while playing the video. You cannot play a 1080P HD video out of the box; you might have to install the right software in order to do so.

Acer® Aspire® Revo 1600 has an excellent media player. Thanks to its small size, low noise, wireless peripherals, and HDMI port. The Aspire® Revo® is just a PC and it is easier to connect to your existing network that most other dedicated media players do. You can easily connect via Wi-Fi or Ethernet and can easily grab videos from other computers on your network or just download them directly to your Revo 1600. You can expect a better compatibility than you would get with a dedicated media player.
