Restore factory settings
For restoring Acer computer to factory settings, you can use the recovery partition that stores an image of the default operating system, drivers and software applications. If your recovery files are written on a partition, from there you may have to select system recovery. There may be an option to select destructive or non-destructive system recovery. You may select your option and your Acer computer will be restored to factory settings.
Backing up all files
Backup all your important user files from your Acer computer. Using recovery partition will remove all the data stored on the hard disk drive of your system. Use flash drives or CDs or DVDs in order to store your data and transfer them to another computer. Alternatively, you may use your network to transfer files.
Before restoring factory settings in your Acer computer, you need to detach all your peripheral devices, such as removable media drives, printer, scanner, etc. This will avoid unnecessary consumption of system resources and make the restoration process quick.
